The City Councils in Manitowoc and Two Rivers gathered this week to elect their leadership teams following this month’s election.
In Manitowoc, all five seats were retained by the incumbents, however, there is a new Council President.
Alderman Eric Sitkiewitz was voted into the role by the Council. Mayor Justin Nickels also revealed the committee appointments for the 2023-2024.
Jim Brey is Chairing the Finance Committee, Steve Szekala is in charge of the Public Infrastructure Committee, Bill Schlei is manning the Personnel Committee, and Mike Cummings is the Chair of the Public Safety Committee.
In Two Rivers, all three sitting council members on this month’s ballot were re-sworn in.
After which, Adam Wachowski was re-elected to serve as Council President, and Scott Stechmesser was named Vice President.
