Patricia “Patti” Stankey, age 85, a lifelong resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life after God called her home on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at her residence with family by her side.
Patti was born on October 20, 1937 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Philomena Popp Klein. Patti attended Lincoln High School and graduated with the class of 1956. She was employed at Holy Family Hospital and later as a receptionist at Dental Park Clinic in Manitowoc from where she retired in 2007. On May 18, 1957 she married Ralph H. Stankey at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on November 21, 2012. Patti was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Manitowoc.
She is survived by two sons, David Stankey, Eagle River, and Douglas Stankey, Manitowoc, one daughter, Cindy (Tom) Zagorski, Sussex, one sister, Kathleen Brady, Boonville, MO, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Philomena Klein, her husband, Ralph Stankey, one grandson, Aaron Zagorski, seven sisters, and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand, 1416 South 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Doug LeCaptain. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Knollwood Cemetery. Following the funeral service a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
