In less than two weeks, Milwaukee officer-involved shooting recordings will be made available to the public.
A new 15-day video policy for the department was recently adopted by the city’s Fire and Police Commission.
The modification means that within two days, families of those who were shot by police will be able to view the video.
Milwaukee did not have a formal schedule for the distribution of officer-involved shooting recordings prior to the new policy.
The police chief of Milwaukee says he will accept the FPC’s decision even though he preferred a 45-day policy.
