The Cheese Counter and Dairy Heritage Center in Plymouth is now under new ownership.
The store and museum located at 133 East Mill Street was sold by the City of Plymouth to the Plymouth Cheese Counter Foundation, an organization created by Sargento Foods, Sartori Cheese, and Masters Gallery.
The sale reportedly went for a single dollar.
The City has stated that they will continue to give $7,500 annually to the Cheese Counter and Dairy Heritage Center, noting that is a major tourist attraction.
