The Appleton man that engaged in a standoff with police last week is facing federal charges.
37-year-old Torey D. Robinson has been charged with a felony count of being a felon in possession of a firearm while state charges were dropped.
He was ordered to be detained pending his trial.
According to police reports, Robinson approached a squad car that was engaged in a traffic stop on April 10th and asked the officer if they had level four plates in their body armor.
The officers noted that Robinson then circled the block and was acting in a suspicious manner.
They were later sent to his home in the 1100 block of North Leminwah Street on a report of shots being fired.
Robinson exited the home for a brief moment when police arrived and fired a rifle into the air.
After a five-hour standoff, he was detained.
