The most recent effort to increase the number of teachers in some Wisconsin classes will only cost $9,000.
The new Concordia Teaching and Learning Academy was introduced on Monday by School Choice Wisconsin and Concordia University in West Allis.
The curriculum, which lasts a year and a half, is made to assist persons with bachelor’s degrees in becoming teachers at private, selective schools.
To learn what it takes to become a teacher, the students will both take classes and work one-on-one with current teachers.
According to Nicholas Kelly of School Choice Wisconsin, it benefits both new instructors and the state’s needy choice schools.
