After dropping two consecutive games, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers were able to bounce back and win three in a row to claim their first home series of the season.
The Rattlers toppled the Peoria Chiefs 5-2 Friday at Fox Cities Stadium, 6-3 Saturday, and closed out the series with a 5-1 win Sunday.
Starting pitcher Tyler Woessner had a solid outing, going 5 innings, allowing only 4 hits and one run while striking out 8 batters.
Ryan Brady came on for three innings of relief and only allowed a single hit, and Taylor Floyd slammed the door shut in the 9th.
Offensively, the Rattlers only had four hits, but all of them came from two batters. Jesus Chirinos and Alex Hall each had a pair of hits, and each belted a shot over the outfield wall.
Hall drove in three of Wisconsin’s runs, including his game-sealing two-run homer in the 8th.
Wisconsin is off today before hitting the road Tuesday to begin a six-game series with the Quad Cities River Bandits.
