
For the second straight day, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers fell short in a 9th-inning comeback bid and fell by one run to the Peoria Chiefs.
The final score at Fox Cities Stadium was 4-3. The Chiefs plated 3 runs through the first four innings before the Rattlers were able to bring home a pair of runners in the 5th.
The Chief would pad their lead with an 8th-inning run, leaving the Rattlers trailing by 2 for the second game in a row.
Je’Von Ward was able to bat in one more run, but a flyout to left sealed the win for the visitors.
Eduardo Garcia was the only Wisconsin batter to notch more than one hit, and only one of their 7 hits went for extra bases.
Starter Josepher Hernandez picked up the loss on the mound going 4 innings and allowing three runs on 4 hits while recording 4 strikeouts.
The Rattlers will look to right the ship tonight in game four of their six-game series with the Chiefs.
