This Saturday will mark the 111th anniversary of the sinking of the R.M.S. Titanic, taking with it the lives of 1,500 passengers.
The Weill Center for the Performing Arts in Sheboygan is honoring the ship and the lives lost on Friday with a showing of the blockbuster film Titanic.
The movie, which stars Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, tells the fictional story of two young people who meet and fall in love, all while telling the story of how the supposedly unsinkable Titanic came to rest on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.
The film will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the theater located at 826 North 8th Street in Sheboygan.
Tickets for the showing are $8 a piece and can be purchased at WeillCenter.com.
