
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers started the season off their home season with a win yesterday.
The Rattlers scored early and often, taking down the Peoria Chiefs 8-3 at Fox Cities Stadium.
The home team scored in each of the first three innings, and in the 7th and 8th to secure the win.
Ernesto Maritnez and Je’Von Ward each picked up a pair of hits for Wisconsin while five batters drove home runs.
Eric Brown Jr., the Milwaukee Brewers’ #1 draft pick in 2022 had a good night at the plate, going 1-4 while scoring a run.
On the mound, Tyler Woessner went five innings, striking out 5 batters and allow the three runs, and Russel Smith came on in relief, striking out five more batters.
Karlos Morales picked up the save by only allowing one hit through the final inning and a third.
The two teams are back at it at 12:10 this afternoon.
