The Manitowoc County Recycling Center and Froedtert Holy Family Memorial are teaming up once again to host a Manitowoc County Drug Disposal event.
On April 22nd, residents are invited to bring their prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, veterinary medications, controlled substances, and supplements to the hospital on Western Avenue for free disposal.
Pills should be put in a Ziplock-style baggie, no bigger than quart size, while liquids, cremes, powers, and inhalers can stay in their original containers.
Pill bottles will not be taken, nor will needles, sharps, lancets, mercury devices, chemical waste, electronic glucose monitors, non-medical inhalers, and personal care products like cosmetics and shampoo.
The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to noon at 2300 Western Avenue.
