Wisconsin lawmakers are scheduled to take the first step today toward banning a ban on gas stoves.
Later this afternoon, a hearing on a proposal to control “restrictions on the sale or use of a device based on its energy source” is set for the Assembly’s Committee on State Affairs.
The prohibition on gas stoves was made possible by a number of cities or states, including Clinton, where Rep. Ellen Schutt represents.
The Biden Administration is even considering restrictions that would discourage people from using gas for cooking.
