One man is in custody following a standoff in Appleton Monday.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired just after 3:00 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Leminwah, and when they arrived, the officers reported hearing additional shots coming from a residence.
A perimeter was set up, and contact was made with an individual inside.
A man, later identified as 36-year-old Torey D. Robinson, then exited the residence, fired a rifle into the air, and went back inside.
A shelter-in-place order was put in place for the area as the Appleton SWAT team and crisis negotiators were called to the scene.
Robinson eventually surrendered and was taken into custody.
The incident is still under investigation.
