The Manitowoc County Historical Society is joining a national effort to clean local historic markers during the second annual National Historic Marker Day on Friday, April 28.
National Historic Marker Day brings people together to maintain local markers by cleaning them and providing an opportunity to celebrate and preserve history.
Individuals, as well as groups of all sizes, are welcome to volunteer, including families and friends, civic organizations, schools, and young groups, to name a few.
Those who want to participate can learn more, get updates, and access to cleaning guides on the official National Historic Marker Day webpage on the Pomeroy Foundation website.
For more information, or to register as part of the Historical Society’s team, connect with the museum at (920) 684-4445 or visit ManitowocCountyHistory.org.
