The man who fatally stabbed a passenger on a Greyhound bus in Pewaukee in 2021 faces a sentence of up to life in jail.
According to court documents, 23-year-old Drew Bennett entered a guilty plea in the case on Tuesday in Waukesha County.
He had been charged with first-degree intentional homicide at first, but he pleaded guilty to first-degree reckless homicide instead, which is a less serious offense.
Bennett initially pleaded insanity, according to his attorneys, but later changed his mind after hearing voices instructing him to stab the other man.
Bennett’s sentencing is scheduled for late June.
