Since mid-January, nearly 50 vehicles have been stolen or were attempted to be stolen in Green Bay, and now some young people have been arrested.
The Green Bay Police Department has announced that nearly a dozen teenagers between 13 and 17 years old were apprehended for their involvement.
The incidents occurred across the city, but most of them took place on the west side.
Primarily, the teens targeted Hyundai and Kia model vehicles, leading to the group calling themselves the “Kia Boys”.
Green Bay Police Lieutenant Jason Allen advised the public to “take precautions in deterring theft or damage to their vehicles and alert us if you see something suspicious.”
