
Two people were injured in a weekend crash in Manitowoc. According to Manitowoc Police Department Lieutenant Nathan Barnes, officers were sent to the intersection of South 10th and Madison Streets at around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday (April 1st).
It was determined that a vehicle traveling west on Madison struck another vehicle that was traveling south on 10th.
A passenger in the first vehicle had to be extracted through the use of the jaws of life.
Both they and the driver of the car had to be taken by ambulance to Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle was uninjured.
The driver of the first vehicle was also arrested following their treatment as alcohol was believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash.
