For her criminal trial in Lafayette County, an Illinois woman who is accused of killing her husband’s grandmother is bound over.
In connection with the passing of 83-year-old Lynne Montgomery, Shannon Bussan is being investigated for first-degree intentional homicide.
At the end of February, Montgomery may have been smothered by Bussan at her home in the Village of Benton, according to detectives with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Agents say wireless information shows Bussan at or close to the casualty’s home hours before she told police she showed up there.
