The City of Appleton is reviewing its participation in No Mow May.
In 2020, Appleton was the first city in the U.S. to adopt the No Mow May philosophy, where residents are asked to not mow their lawns throughout the titular month as a way to help the bee population.
While it was made permanent in 2022, the study that prompted the change has now been redacted due to “faulty findings”.
The City is reevaluating the program and will decide after further review if No Mow May will remain in effect in the city.
