A home in the Manitowoc County Town of Newton was destroyed by an early morning fire.
Numerous fire departments from around the area were sent to the residence located at 9601 Newton Road at around 5:15 a.m.
The exact cause has not yet been released, but a nearby resident reported hearing an explosion around that time.
Two people were at the home at the time, and one was taken to a hospital.
The status of the other individual is not known at this time.
