Students in Muskego have been cleared by school administrators of allegations of racism, but the district has stated that it will implement new regulations in the future.
At the beginning of the month, parents from Beloit Memorial High School said that Muskego students were racist during a basketball game.
The parents claimed that they heard “monkey noises” coming from the student section and that the students were wearing ski masks and tank tops to mock black culture.
In their locker room, Memorial players claim to have discovered a swastika and the word “n-word” written in dust.
Museko’s investigation stated that nobody else heard the “monkey noises” and that it found no racism in the student’s attire.
Muskego Schools claim that no one knows when the dust-graffiti was written.
Muskego has promised to inspect locker rooms prior to games in the future and to inform visiting teams of theme nights so they are aware of what to anticipate.
