This week marks the next step in the latest Wisconsin plans to crack down on careless driving.
Several pieces of legislation aimed at repeat reckless drivers will be up for a vote in the Wisconsin Senate.
One would increase the penalties for reckless driving by a factor of two, while the other would permit towns and cities to seize automobiles from reckless drivers who fail to pay their tickets and fines.
Although all of the plans were written by Republicans, there is optimism at the Capitol that the governor will sign them once they reach his desk.
