The City of Manitowoc is beginning its ecological restoration project at Silver Creek Park today (March 20th).
The main focus of this week will be the hand-cutting of invasive woody plants, and mechanical removal of dense invasive species will take place in the upcoming weeks.
The park will remain open for recreational use throughout the project, which is expected to last through April 7th.
Work will be concentrated in the areas around disc golf holes 21-25 and 33-35.
Disc golfers should do their best to plan ahead to avoid these holes if work is in progress.
