Concerning the state’s plans to expand broadband, lawmakers in Wisconsin want answers.
The Audit Committee of the state demanded answers from the Wisconsin Public Service Commission Wednesday regarding the spending and record keeping of broadband projects worth approximately $100 million dollars.
The PSC did not have any documentation for the majority of the projects it looks at, according to a fall audit.
Although Eric Wimberger, a state senator, stated that there is currently no evidence of wrongdoing, he would like to know if any of the state’s internet funds have actually been put to good use.
According to Wimberger, it appears as though the governor’s administration simply wasted the money.
