State legislators are taking the next step in Wisconsin’s plans to crack down on careless driving.
Three distinct proposals to either raise the penalties for those accused of driving recklessly or place them in jail will be heard by a Senate panel.
The third strategy would make it simpler for cities to seize automobiles from careless motorists.
The three pieces of legislation could be signed into law, even though they are part of a series of tough-on-crime packages from Republicans.
