A man was arrested in Manitowoc early Monday morning after he nearly struck a police cruiser.
An officer was making his way through the intersection of Franklin and South 15th Street just after 2:00 a.m. when a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign, nearly striking the squad car.
The vehicle was pulled over, and the officer noted the smell of intoxicants.
The 36-year-old man admitted to drinking at a nearby tavern, and that he had a revoked license.
The man was taken back to the Police Department to conduct a field sobriety test, which he failed. He was taken to a local hospital for a blood draw and was arrested for his fourth OWI.
