The Green Bay Area School District has made a decision on who will be taking over the vacant superintendent position.
Dr. Claude Tiller Jr has been offered the position as he comes from the Detroit Public School system.
Not only is Dr. Tiller very qualified for the role, he also has received accolades for his work, including for helping improve Detroit’s high school graduation rates in the 2021-22 school year.
He has also worked with the State of Michigan’s Department of Education, where he helped raise SAT scores.
He has not yet been officially hired as he and school district leaders will now enter contract negotiations.
He is expected to sign on the dotted line and assume the role at the start of July.
