A new building in Sheboygan will be aiming to help seniors find affordable housing.
The 83-unit structure is slated to be built in the area of Indiana Avenue and South 10th Street, right along the Sheboygan River.
An agreement between the City and GenCap Emem LLC is said to be worth just over $27 million.
The structure will be placed in a triangle-shaped plot of land surrounded between Illinois and Indiana Avenues as well as South 10th Street.
The units will be subject to income and rent restrictions and will have some tax credits through the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority.
This deal is not official as of yet, as the agreement is scheduled to be reviewed today.
