Sixth District Congressman Glenn Grothman says the legal landscape of Wisconsin could be changing when voters cast their ballot in the State Supreme Court race between conservative Dan Kelly and liberal Janet Prostasiewicz.
During an appearance on WOMT’s “Just The Facts” program with John Foster, the Glenbeulah Republican said he does not agree with her promise to eliminate “photo ID” at the polling place.
“I feel a lot better with photo ID,” he explained. “I heard a lot of rumors out there before photo ID came into effect that there were people cheating, or people claiming to be somebody they weren’t.”
Grothman also does not support the Milwaukee judge’s stance on possibly repealing ACT 10.
“Prior to Governor Walker, it was almost fire to fire a bad school teacher,” Grothman recalled. “[Prostasiewicz] is promising to say ‘I’m going to look at that’ and go back and say for some judicial reason that we have to go back to the days where it was impossible to fire a bad public employee.”
Manitowoc County’s representative in Washington D.C. calls this election even more important than the outcome of last fall’s Governor’s race between Tony Evers and Tim Michels, in which Evers was re-elected.
The Spring General Election will be held on Tuesday, April 4th.
