Ronald “Coach Ron” Klestinski, age 84, of Manitowoc, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.
Born to life, Ronald Anthony Klestinski, on August 18, 1938, in Stevens Point, WI. Son of the late Eleanore (Olbrantz) and Anton Klestinski. Born to eternal life at 84 on March 1st, 2023, in Manitowoc, WI. On June 9, 1962, he married the love of his life, the former Darlene Kulick. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past June.
Survivors include his wife Darlene and four children. Keith (Ginny) Klestinski, Brookfield; Kris (Mike) Johnson, Manitowoc; Kathy Klestinski, Manitowoc and Kevin (Jenny) Klestinski, Verona. Four Grandchildren, Katie (Jim) Hilgenberg, Wauwatosa; Alex Klestinski, Brookfield; Sam and Sylvie Klestinski, Verona; and one Greatgrandchild, Carson Klestinski, Brookfield. Ron is further survived by Sister-in-law Joan (Jim) Boehnlein, Stevens Point; Brothers-in-law Don Kulick, Forest Lake, MN, and Ben Newby, Plover, WI. Other survivors include nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Anton and Eleanor Klestinski, his Brother Robert and Sister Darlene; Mother and Father-in-law Fern and Ben Kulick; Brother-in-law Ken Kulick and his wife Helen, Sister-in-law Joyce and her husband Ernest Danielski, Sisters-in-law Patricia Klestinski and Bernadette Kulick.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM (noon) on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo (1121 North 14 Street, Manitowoc). The Rev. Doug LeCaptain will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 11:45 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Roncalli High School for the scholarship established in his name.
