The Woodland Dunes Nature Center and preserve had a very successful fundraiser on February 25th.
The Tropical Blast event raised over $48,000 to support nature-based education and habitat conservation efforts. The organizer of the fundraiser, Nancy Nabak, said the pineapple coring station was a big hit, as they raffled off pineapples with a number attached for the contestant to win either a gas grill or a man’s watch.
The event also included a live auction, a silent auction, and a wine pull.
