This week, lawmakers in Wisconsin are going to examine the state’s vaccination requirements. A hearing on the Department of Health Service’s new vaccine regulations has been scheduled for tomorrow morning by the Joint Committee for Review of Administrative Rules of the legislature.
This year, DHS made a few changes to schools and daycares, such as changing the rules for getting chickenpox vaccines and when kids can’t go to school because of chickenpox. Also this year, the state strongly encourages children to get the flu or COVID shot, but DHS is not making it a requirement for them.
