The Manitowoc County Highway Department announces that various weight limits will take effect on Monday (March 6th) due to unstable road sub-grades presented by the spring season frost melt.
They include:
- County Highway “T” from Highway 10 to County Highway “K”
- County Highway “JJ” from County Highway “J” to the Calumet County Highway line
- County Highway “NN” from County Highway “K” to the Brown County line
- County Highway “VV” from County Highway “B” to State Highway 147
- County Highway “V” from County Highway “T” to I-43
- County Highway “X” from Union Road to State Highway 42
Single trip permits for loads exceeding statutory weights may be issued by the Highway Department if, in their opinion, there’s no risk of damage is foreseen upon review and overweight permit provisions will be reinstated as sub-grade conditions stabilize.
