Shoreline Hometown Credit Union, which has served Northeast Wisconsin for over 80 years, was recently named the winner of the 2023 Small Business Weyenberg Prize.
The Weyenburg prize, created in recognition of Tim Weyenberg’s personal, business, and community impact, and co-sponsored by UW-Green Bay and InititativeOne Leadership Institute, seeks to recognize business excellence where leadership transformation, strategy development, and strategic execution are critical components of an organization’s culture.
Shoreline was specifically recognized for its efforts in providing accessible and affordable financial services to communities that are statistically less likely to be served, including low-income, poor credit, or non-English speaking communities.
Shoreline President and Chief Executive Officer Nathan Grossenbach says “This award means a tremendous amount to our organization. We strive to live out our Hometown Values at every level of our organization. While this is a validation of the work we have accomplished, it also sets the internal bar for future excellence even higher.”
Headquartered in Manitowoc County. Shoreline Hometown Credit Union serves approximately 8,000 members in nine Wisconsin counties.
