Two hockey teams from Eastern Wisconsin have punched their tickets to the WIAA State Tournament.
Notre Dame Academy out of Green Bay earned the #1 seed in the Division 1 bracket thanks to their 26-0 record.
This is the Triton’s fifth state tournament appearance in the last six years.
They will square off against #4 seeded University School of Milwaukee at 10:00 a.m. Friday (March 3rd) at Bob Suter’s Capitol Ice Arena in Middleton.
If they win, they will take on the winner of the Verona/Hudson matchup Saturday afternoon.
In the lone girls bracket, the De Pere Co-op also earned a #1 seed with a 23-3 record.
They consist of players from eleven Green Bay area schools, and the Ice Bears return to the tournament for the first time since 2017, where they came in second.
They will take on the Middleton Co-op at 4:00 this afternoon.
The winner will take on the victor in the other semifinal game between Superior/Northwestern and Hudson at noon on Saturday.
