The Green Bay Metro Fire Department was called into action yesterday when a fire broke out inside a residence.
Crews were sent to the 500 block of Cornelius Drive just after 9:00 a.m.
They arrived to find the fire in the kitchen and determined it started on a glass-top stove and spread to the cabinets.
The blaze was extinguished within about five minutes, but not before it caused $35,000 in damage.
The cause of the fire is said to be linked to items being stored on top of the stove.
The two residents have been displaced, but no injuries were reported.
