A member of the Two Rivers City Council has stepped down from his position.
Jason Ring submitted his letter of resignation on Saturday, noting that he was advised by the City Attorney that this was the step he needed to take in order to apply for the City’s Director of Tourism position.
In his letter, Ring said “It has been a pleasure working with all of you and learning from all of you. If not for this opportunity to serve the community I would not be resigning.”
It is not clear at this time when an election will be held to fill the remainder of his term.
