Acuity Insurance
The largest insurance company in Wisconsin now has a new president.
Melissa Winter is taking over the roll at Acuity, which was previously held by Ben Salzmann.
He will remain the CEO, a role he has held since 1999.
Winter began her career at Acuity in January 1998 as a Claims Representative and was promoted to Central Claims Manager in April 2001.
She was named a Claims Consultant in November 2005 and promoted to General Manager – Staff Claims in June 2010.

In 2016, she was named Vice President – Business Consulting where she oversaw Acuity’s dynamic strategic planning process, staff functions, and internal innovation teams.
Additionally, Forbes has included Acuity on its list of Best Midsize Employers.
Salzman and Winter both expressed their appreciation for the honor with the new president adding, “We are committed to being a great employer where everyone knows they are valued whether they work remote, hybrid, or in our corporate headquarters.”
