
Manitowoc County will be well-represented on the final day of the WIAA State Individual Boys and Girls Wrestling Tournament in Madison. Three lakeshore area athletes are going for a state title this evening on the mats at the Kohl Center. This is Championship Saturday and those seeking gold include: freshman Emjay Neumann of Manitowoc Lincoln in the Girls 120 pound class, another freshman Angie Bianchi of Two Rivers at 114 and Raiders junior Chase Matthias in the Division-2 195 pound division. Those championship matches are scheduled to begin at 5:30pm. Other area wrestlers who can still finish as high as a 3rd in the state are: TR junior Justin Klinkner who competes this morning in an attempt to reach the 3rd place match at 160, Raiders freshman Max Matthias at 182 wrestles this morning, as will Maddux Wendling of Valders in the D3 113 pound division and Reedsville’s Adler Strenn who’s also looking to medal at 195.
