One of the many problems people experiencing homelessness face is the ability to get hygiene products.
Items such as toilet paper, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and feminine hygiene products are becoming increasingly more expensive, which is adding additional stress on those facing monetary struggles.
A Whitelaw organization is looking to help. The Production Farm, located at 9003 Polifa Road, is collecting these items as a part of the Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive.
We spoke with Wyatt Kuether, the Founder and President of the Production Farm, who explained that this drive was started by The Family Radio Network in Appleton.
“They are getting all of the communities around to gather as many things as they can to help people in need in all of our specific needs,” he explained. “We help out here in Manitowoc County as well as in Sheboygan County.”
Kuether told us they helped out in a bit of a different way last year.
“We have a pretty large space there, so we were able to sort a lot of the donations,” he revealed. “Now here, we are able to get involved, raise awareness to make sure that people are getting out there and getting the things that are needed for our community.”
If you would like to participate in the Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive, you can collect the items, and email info@TheProductionFarm.org.
They will then tell you where you can drop off the items.
