Only one person was injured last night in a multi-vehicle pileup on I-43 in Manitowoc County.
According to the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, a total of six vehicles were involved in the incident, which occurred sometime in the evening hours on I-43 southbound just south of Highway JJ.
The vehicles were a semi, a Lamers bus, a box truck, a straight truck, a passenger car and a pickup truck towing a trailer.
The injured individual was transported to a hospital with what were termed non-life-threatening injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office thanked all of the agencies that responded to the crash.
There were also citizen reports of numerous vehicles in the ditch along the highway, and all around the area.
