Two members of the Manitowoc Lincoln High School Wrestling team will compete this weekend in the 2nd Girls Individual State Tournament in Madison.
That’s after Ships wrestlers Emjay Neumann and Amellia Fowler earned Sectional titles last Saturday at Homestead High School in Mequon.
Neumann captured the 120-pound division with Copitsy Maurin of Sheboygan South also advancing with a runner-up finish.
Fowler took the 132-pound class at the Division-1 Girls Sectional.
Also of area interest, Ariya Yang of Sheboygan South won a title at 107, Kayla Yang placed 3rd to advance at 114, while Ellianna Robinson of the Redwings and Destiny Duesterbeck of Sheboygan North each won Sectional crowns.
State competition is scheduled to begin Thursday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at the Kohl Center and continue through Saturday.
