DNR Reminds Ice Fishermen and Women of Ice Shanty Removal Deadlines

The DNR is reminding those with permanent ice shanties that deadlines to remove them are fast approaching.

In fact, shanties are required to be off of waters on the Wisconsin/Iowa boundary by today.

The next date of note is March 1^st when shanties will need to be off waters on the Wisconsin/Minnesota border.

Four days later they will need to be off of inland waters south of Highway 64, and they must be removed from the Wisconsin/Michigan boundary waters by March 5^th.

Shanties on Lake Michigan, Green Bay, Lake Superior, and inland waters north of Highway 64 must be removed by March 19^th.
