Those with green thumbs that live in Two Rivers, you may be able to have a front yard vegetable garden soon.
City Manager Greg Buckley tells us that the City Plan Commission met Monday, where they recommended an amendment to the zoning code.
Buckley explained, “It would allow for a pilot project this coming summer that would allow for some front yard produce or vegetable gardening in either containers or raised beds.”
The amendment would essentially suspend the prohibition of such gardens for the summer of 2023.
The proposal will now go before the City Council on February 20th, where they will schedule a public hearing on March 6th.
