The snowfall yesterday made travel difficult for many people, especially in Outagamie County.
County officials reported an estimated 100 crashes related to poor road conditions yesterday, most of them on I-41 and Highway 441.
This caused a tow ban to be implemented on those stretches of road.
The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office noted that it wasn’t just the snow that was causing issues, it was more so the ice that was forming under the fresh layer of powder.
The Manitowoc Police Department Shift Commander told us this morning that there were a significant number of traffic incidents in the city during second shift, but he did not have a specific number available at the time.
