Bail was set at $3,500 cash for a 43-year-old Manitowoc man who was taken into custody for allegedly being the Keeper of a Drug House.
James E. Staab is also being charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Felony Bail Jumping.
Police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of South 11th Street and spoke with two men there, one of whom said he’d been staying there for the past couple of days.
He admitted having purchased and used heroin there with Staab, who was the main occupant of that residence.
Staab admitted to authorities that there was a wide array of drug paraphernalia in the apartment, and he was taken into custody.
The lone condition of bail is that Staab is to maintain absolute sobriety.
He remains in the County Jail and his initial appearance is set for Monday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
