An individual who was planning on boarding a plane at the Appleton International Airport was found to have a loaded handgun in their carry-on.
According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the weapon was located by the x-ray machine.
The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office was called to arrest the man, who they say did not have a concealed carry permit.
The TSA will determine if the yet unidentified individual will be hit with a fine, which could be as high as $14,950.
This is the second weapon located at that airport in the past week, and the fourth already this year.
Last year, only two were uncovered in the entire calendar year.
