A De Pere resident was injured during a weekend house fire.
Crews were sent to the 900 block of Jordan Road at around 5:30 Sunday evening to attack the fire in a single-family residence.
The fire was located in the kitchen, and firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
The De Pere Fire Rescue Department reports the flames originated on the stove and spread to the nearby cabinets.
The family cat had to be rescued by fire crews, but all residents had self-evacuated.
One of the residents suffered what was termed a minor burn and was treated at the scene.
The fire caused an estimated $5,500 in damage.
