The Lester Public Library in Two Rivers has been selected to host a traveling exhibit on 250 years of human migration.
We spoke with City Manager Greg Buckley, who noted it was a joint project between the American Anthropological Association, and the Smithsonian Institute’s Center for Folk Life and Culture Heritage.
He explained that “This traveling exhibit will be stopping at libraries around the country, including Houston Texas, San Jose California, Kansas City Kansas, Columbus Ohio, and yes, Two Rivers Wisconsin.”
The exhibit will be at the Lester Public Library for two weeks in April and May of next year before moving on to its next location.
Buckley had high praise for the team at the library.
“Our library is very aspirational,” he said. “They reach out and often they succeed and offer a lot to the community in the way of programming.”
After the exhibit has made all of its U.S. stops, it will be touring cultural sites in Europe.
