
The Two Rivers Police Department has named its new Assistant Chief of Police.
Detective Lieutenant Melissa Wiesner was named to the position effective February 10th.
Wiesner was hired by the Two Rivers Police Department in March of 2002 as a Patrol Officer.
Melissa also served the Two Rivers Police Department in the special assignments of School Resource Officer and Investigator before her promotion to Detective Lieutenant in 2017.
Detective Lieutenant Wiesner also represents the Two Rivers Police Department on a state level as a WI Law Enforcement Death Response Team board member and WI DOJ Peer Support Training Team member as well as on a national level as an ALICE instructor.
Police Chief Ben Meinnert said in a statement, “Melissa Wiesner will be an outstanding addition to our administrative team and will help lead our agency for many years to come.”
